QA Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking a QA Engineer who will develop, publish and implement test plans and test cases. This includes participating in Software Quality Assurance activities such as reviewing system requirements and documentation, reviewing and executing test cases and working with business analysts, developers and end users to ensure that new the system enhancements and modifications are of high quality and usability. 

 

 Number of Positions: 3  

 

Duties and Responsibilities:  

• Works to discover, analyze and document client business requirements, and translating those needs into system and process solution designs.
• Develop procedures and tools for testing, calibration and verification of the software, cooperating with the developers.
• Ensure the software is properly tested, calibrated and certified according to the corresponding procedures.
• Participate in Root Cause Analysis when repetitive failure of software products occurs.
• Ensure accurate document, record and archive measurement data pertaining to product parameters and process control performance.
• Assist and train the Test Specialist, when required, in troubleshooting and repairing returned products from the customers.
• Interact with project management and development teams to develop a strong understanding of the project and testing objectives.
• Design and create test conditions and scripts to address business and technical use cases.
  Use existing tools and techniques to execute test cases and build/script new tools for performing testing/validation function.
• Develop and lead the automation strategy/effort and generate scripts to perform automated testing cycles using (primarily) Mercury Interactive/HP products (Quality Center, QTP, etc.)
  Execute and analyze automation test results.
• Participate in troubleshooting and triaging of issues with different teams to drive towards root cause identification and resolution.
• Document, track and escalate issues as appropriate, using Quality Center or similar tools/means.
• Support production deployment of applications and perform validation testing during the off-hours maintenance windows.

 

Minimum Qualifications:  

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or 5 years of IT Experience is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Develops test plans independently.
• Takes on new tasks with minimal instruction and works well in a team environment.
• Ability to solve problems on the fly and work in a fast-paced, high traffic environment.
• Certification in Software Testing is a plus.

Business Analyst

Position Overview

The business analyst is responsible for defining, researching and documenting the specific project requirements that meet the market and strategy needs. They work closely with the Project Manager, Clients and Engineering to analyze current state functionality with thoughtful consideration of future state, and to identify any additional needs as requirements are created, review any potential compliance issues and draft the use cases associated with the project needs. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:  

 

• Analyze competitive market strategies through analysis of related product, market or share trends.
• Synthesize current business intelligence or trends data to support recommendations for action.
• Communicate with customers, competitors, suppliers, professional organizations or other to stay abreast or business trends.
• Manage timely flow of business intelligence information to users.
• Collect business intelligence data from available industry reports, public information, field reports, or purchased sources.
• Identify and analyze industry or geographic trends with business strategy implications.
  Analyze technology trends to identify markets for future product development or to improve sales of existing products.
• Generate standard or custom reports summarizing business, financial or economic data for review by executives, managers, clients and other stakeholders.
• Identify or monitor current and potential customers, using business intelligence tools.
• Maintain or update business intelligence tools, databases, dashboards, systems or methods.  

 

Minimum Qualifications:  

• Bachelor's Degree in BS/BA or equivalent experience is required.
• Knowledge in Market Sizing, competitor / company profiling & landscaping, in-depth industry / value chain analysis & developing ‘Go – to – Market’ Strategies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Handles any size projects with little to no assistance.
• Develops test plans independently.
• Takes on new tasks with minimal instruction and works well in a team environment.
• Ability to solve problems on the fly and work in a fast-paced, high traffic environment.
• Good to Have knowledge with business intelligence technologies (e.g. Business Objects, MicroStrategy, Cognos or similar tools).
• SQL Knowledge is a plus

Software Engineer / Programmer Analyst

 

Position Overview

 

We have an opportunity for the right individual as a Software Engineer who will apply knowledge of algorithms, principles and techniques to solve technical problems. This person will be responsible for coding applications, communicating technology designs and decisions and their rationales and ramifications to management, team members and clients. The right candidate will work well in a small team environment and will be eager to expand their knowledge and programming skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:  

  

• Determines operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solutions development, and proposed solutions.
• Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code.
• Prepares and installs solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.
• Improves operations by conducting systems analysis; recommending changes in policies and procedures.
• Integrate software components into a fully functional software system.
• Updates job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
• Protects operations by keeping information confidential.
• Provides information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues.
• Accomplishes engineering and organization mission by completing related results are needed.
• Develops software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes, investigating problem areas, following the software development lifecycle.

• Experience with business intelligence technologies (e.g. Business Objects, MicroStrategy, Cognos or similar tools).
• Knowledge of SQL, RDBMS.
• Develops test plans independently.

  Ability to solve problems on the fly and work in a fast-paced, high traffic environment.
