Business Intelligence Analyst

Position Overview

We are seeking candidates with knowledge in the profession of business analysis, preferably with experience in Data Warehousing and Extraction, Transformation and Loading (ETL) based Data modelling, Data Mining and/or Data Migration background. The primary role of the Business Analyst is to serve as an internal consultant/liaison to diagnose problems, develop creative solutions, and elicit, document, and manage requirements for those solutions.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Works to discover, analyze and document client business requirements, and translating those needs into system and process solution designs.

  • Analyze technology trends to identify markets for future product development or to improve sales of existing products.
  • Generate standard or custom reports summarizing business, financial, or economic data for review by executives, managers, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Identify or monitor current and potential customers, using business intelligence tools.
  • Maintain or update business intelligence tools, databases, dashboards, systems or methods.
  • Designs and manages integration test cycles for new system enhancements including the creation of detailed test plans, test data sets, and documentation of test case results.
  • Coordinates closely with internal production teams and external client teams to develop and document operational processes and change management plans during roll-out of system enhancements.
  • Interfaces directly with clients to assess ongoing business needs and translate those needs into systems requirements.
  • Transitions final deliverables to the technical implementation team, ensuring they fully understand client requirements and details of the design and plan.
  • Identifies, tracks and resolves project issues and risks.

Minimum Qualifications:  

  • Overall 5+ years of experience with at least 3 years of business analysis experience around database marketing technologies and data management, and technical understanding in these areas.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent Computer science is required.
  • Experience in Market Sizing, competitor / company profiling & landscaping, in-depth industry / value chain analysis & developing ‘Go – to – Market’ Strategies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Handles any size projects with little to no assistance.
  • Strong knowledge of JSON & XML object structure.
  • Strong experience with business intelligence technologies (e.g. Business Objects, MicroStrategy, Cognos or similar tools).
  • Takes on new tasks with minimal instruction and works well in a team environment.
  • Ability to solve problems on the fly and work in a fast-paced, high traffic environment.

QA Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking a QA Engineer who will develop, publish and implement test plans and test cases. This includes participating in Software Quality Assurance activities such as reviewing system requirements and documentation, reviewing and executing test cases and working with business analysts, developers and end users to ensure that new the system enhancements and modifications are of high quality and usability.

Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Works to discover, analyze and document client business requirements, and translating those needs into system and process solution designs.
  • Develop procedures and tools for testing, calibration and verification of the software, cooperating with the developers.
  • Ensure the software is properly tested, calibrated and certified according to the corresponding procedures.
  • Participate in Root Cause Analysis when repetitive failure of software products occurs.
  • Ensure accurate document, record and archive measurement data pertaining to product parameters and process control performance.
  • Assist and train the Test Specialist, when required, in troubleshooting and repairing returned products from the customers.
  • Interact with project management and development teams to develop a strong understanding of the project and testing objectives.
  • Design and create test conditions and scripts to address business and technical use cases.
    Use existing tools and techniques to execute test cases and build/script new tools for performing testing/validation function.
  • Develop and lead the automation strategy/effort and generate scripts to perform automated testing cycles using (primarily) Mercury Interactive/HP products (Quality Center, QTP, etc.)
    Execute and analyze automation test results.
  • Participate in troubleshooting and triaging of issues with different teams to drive towards root cause identification and resolution.
  • Document, track and escalate issues as appropriate, using Quality Center or similar tools/means.
  • Support production deployment of applications and perform validation testing during the off-hours maintenance windows.

 

Minimum Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or 5 years of IT Experience is required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Develops test plans independently.
  • Takes on new tasks with minimal instruction and works well in a team environment.
  • Ability to solve problems on the fly and work in a fast-paced, high traffic environment.
  • Certification in Software Testing is a plus.

The business analyst is responsible for defining, researching and documenting the specific project requirements that meet the market and strategy needs. They work closely with the Project Manager, Clients and Engineering to analyze current state functionality with thoughtful consideration of future state, and to identify any additional needs as requirements are created, review any potential compliance issues and draft the use cases associated with the project needs.

Software Engineer / Programmer Analyst
